1. What stays in your browser
All calculators run in your own browser. The weight, amounts, kilometres and income you enter are not sent to our server.
- We keep your last input in your browser (localStorage) so you can carry on later. The “Clear” button removes it.
- If you use the plate lookup, your browser sends the plate straight to the RDW open data service (opendata.rdw.nl). We do not receive the plate.
2. What the server stores
For visitor statistics the server stores per visit your IP address, country and city (looked up via ip-api.com), your browser and device type, the pages you view, the site you came from and how long you stay.
When you read a blog article, we also store the IP address and browser with that article’s view counter.
3. Contact form
If you send a message, we store your name, email address, subject, message and IP address. We use them only to reply and to stop spam.
4. Cookies
- A session cookie (PHPSESSID) for your language and the statistics.
- A cookie that remembers your choice in the cookie bar (1 year).
- Google AdSense sets cookies to show and measure ads. Personalised ads only if you give consent.
- Google Analytics, when switched on, measures how the site is used.
5. Who receives data
We sell nothing. Only the services above (Google AdSense, Google Analytics, ip-api.com and the RDW for the plate lookup) receive data, and only for the purpose stated.
6. How long and how safe
We keep statistics and messages for at most 14 months. The site runs over HTTPS and the admin area is protected by a password.
7. Your rights
You can ask for your data, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Contact us through the contact page. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
